Gimme one of these Mulberry jackets ... not only is the print SICK but the collection was cleverly inspired by one of my favorite childhood books 'Where The Wild Things Are'...

...(maybe one of these quilted sweaters as well)...

...(might as well go for the baggy printed jersey too).

It Came From The Sky...

Dazed and Confused ... 'Making It Up As We Go Along' Exhibition ... Celebrating 20 years of Dazed and Confused Magazine - Somerset House 2011...

This editorial was my fave thing exhibited ... the original images looked amazing in real life.

My Work...

First project I've completed at Uni...pretty happy with my outcome.

Brief : to pick a London based designer and produce an advert for one of their recent collections...

Bronwen Marshall AW 11/12...

Heart Shirts...

I visited the V & A the other day to see their latest 'Power of Making' exhibition. One of Bronwen Marshalls 'Heart Shirts' were displayed from AW 11/12 collection (picture 1). 

What initially caught my attention was the the fact that instead of being a print the heart was a patchwork of pieces of fabric, presumably resulting in a very complex pattern process.

After researching the shirt later I found that it came from this series of shirts displaying the story of a breaking heart.

The shirts move along the colour gradient from light grey to slate as the blood from the heart gushes away resulting in splayed linear prints and pleats.

Although perhaps hidden behind quite a deep concept, I thought the shirts showed amazing craftmanship.

Short n Sweet...

Makes me happy, reminds me of my Bude summer '11... (Not that I'm unhappy now!)
